Best swimming spots in Prague!

Summer is coming up, and if there's something that the Czech Republic is missing is beaches, but don't get sad, here are the places you can go for a swim and cool down when you're missing the beach! I have a mix of natural lakes and outdoors pools.

  • Aquacentrum Letňany Lagoon, Czech Republic

      This is another big recreation center. Quite nice place for swimming even over the winter in the enclosed pool with a toboggan, whirlpool, and even fitness center.

  • Sports and recreation center Pražačka, Czech Republic

      This recreation center is smaller than the others, it offers 2 big pools, one for adults and another for kids. This swimming spot is perfect if you looking to go somewhere near the center. There are kiosks in which you can buy snacks and drinks.

      The aqua palace resort is one of the largest water, sauna & wellness resorts in Central Europe. The water world features many water attractions including slides a 450m long wild river, an artificial waves pool, and the popular space bowl attraction. The Sauna worlds include 14 different heating rooms with many relaxing ceremonies taking place during the day. The wellness center is a great place to let your body get some well-reserved relaxation.

      The Šutka swimming center offers an indoor swimming pool. There is also a nice family-friendly water park with slides and other water attractions. There is a summer terrace accessible directly from the water park where you can chill and sunbathe during a hot day.

      The Petynka Swimming center is also a popular place for swimming in Prague. It offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by wide grass sunbathing areas. The outdoor part also offers a toboggan, volleyball court, and other water activities. You can also purchase drinks, beverages, and other refreshments.

      One of the most popular places to go swimming in Prague is the Podolí swimming pool. The place offers two outdoor swimming pools. There is a large grass ground for sunbathing as well as stalls where you can buy some refreshments. This is one of my favorites.

  • Údolní nádrž Džbán

      This large swimming lake is located on the outskirts of Prague near the beautiful nature reserve Divoka Sarka. It is a beautiful place for a walk along the hills and meadow valleys which can be topped off with a cooling swim in the lake.

      The largest natural swimming pool in Prague with a total area of 43,8 hectares, Hostivar reservoir, is located only a few minutes from the city center in South East Prague. Set in the beautiful surrounding of Hostivar Forest Park, Hostivar Reservoir is a popular and sought-after destination because of the clean natural water, modern recreational facilities, and gorgeous location. The complex has a sandy beach and large lawn areas, a cocktail bar on the beach, a restaurant, and numerous food kiosks.
