New York has destinations for so many different types of travelers. If you're looking for something a little different than the hustle and bustle of New York City, how about a weekend trip to the Finger Lakes. The Finger Lakes region is the largest wine producing area in New York and consistently a top wine destination in the US.

Heart & Hands Wine Company in New York, United States

Heart & Hands Winery started out looking at things a little differently. Instead of choosing vines that would grow in the region, they explored the soil content and geological attributes of the land so they would be able to produce the best wines the region can offer. I don't know about you, but seeing the geological similarities of the Finger Lakes Wine region to places like Burgundy France is really interesting to me and shows a deep passion for what they create.

Prejean Winery is located towards the southern end of Seneca Lake and grows many different varieties of grapes. However a visit here would not be complete without trying their signature Riesling which seems to thrive in the Finger Lakes region.
