vermont in the fall
Leah Fishman
Basic bitch autumn, but with a twist. Cozy pumpkin patches, giant corn mazes, mountain-top gondolas, plunging-views, picturesque farmhouses, warm apple cider, and romantic drive-ins. There are too many thing to do in Vermont in the fall, so here are just a few of my favorites.
Sunset Drive-In, Quechee Gorge, Citizen Cider, Sleepy Hollow Farm, Gondola Skyride, Great Vermont Corn Maze, Hackett's Orchard, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Ellie's Farm Market-Gift Shop

The views ate Vermont's lil "Grand Canyon" are unreal once the leaves turn from green to red.

Citizen Cider in Burlington, United States

Burlington, VT cidery that partners with Vermont and upstate NY orchards to make fresh & local-inspired cider. If you're a ginger fiend like me, try the Dirty Mayor.

Sleepy Hollow Farm in Woodstock, United States

The view down the driveway at Sleepy Hollow Farm in Woodstock is pretty famous in the photography world. Each autumn, folks fly in from around the world to get a snap of the red house and barn surrounded by bright fall foliage. Don't forget to respect the space (people live here!) and buy some maple syrup from the homeowners while you're there.

The largest corn maze in VT! Their website describes it as 24 acres of "cornfusion". 100' of bridges, 28' cabin cruiser floating atop the corn, 32' underground tunnel and more.

The Champlain Islands are my go-to spots for apple picking, and Hackett's is one of the best.

Cute farm market. Visit close to Halloween to see hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins displayed on a scenic hillside.
