This is my favorite homey to-go meal in the cooler months. Go Go Curry offers several protein (as well as a tofu and veggie option) curry, but my favorite is either chicken or pork katsu with white rice, cabbage, and that delicious curry sauce.

Chicken tenders are a wonderful creation. But when you’re in no mood for a healthy meal and want something comforting, you can’t beat chicken tenders and fries half a dozen different ways. I highly recommend the Thai Fiesta tenders (with Sticky’s famous Mac Sauce) or the Bacon Mac Sandwich. And don’t forge to pair up any tenders, wrap, or sandwich, heck - even a salad, with some truffle fries.

Mad Dog always satisfies my craving for Mexican food - a craving that I get pretty frequently. Offerings are pretty standard but you can’t go wrong with any variation of their quesadillas!

  • Nara Sushi/ Kumo 奈良 in New York, United States

I’m a stickler for sushi spots and Nara has won me over. Nara’s sushi is always fresh, delicious and consistent. I frequently go for the Pepper Tuna Tataki or shrimp teryaki if I wan’t to change it up - but when it comes to sushi rolls outside of your usual, you can’t miss the 76 Pearl Roll and Volcano Roll.

  • Luke's Lobster FiDi in New York, United States

For a light meal, especially during the warmer months, you can’t do better than Luke’s Lobster. All of their rolls are delicious but if you’re unable to decide, definitely go for Luke’s trio, three mini versions of their lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls. Other highlights include the Lobster Grilled Cheese - but regardless of your choice, don’t forget the side of slaw!

  • Naya in New York, United States

I like to describe Naya as the Lebanese (and significantly tastier) version of Chipotle. Create your own bowl, roll, or salad and then try to leave without purchasing several sides. My go to? A Naya rice bowl with chicken shush taouk, hummus, tomatoesX cabbage, and Persian pickles. And maybe some baklava.
