Configuring and Embedding Your Calendar

Seeker Events Network | All Plans
This article explains how to build a calendar widget for your website, from filtering events and choosing a layout to copying the embed code.

Your calendar widget puts your community’s events directly on your website. In the embed builder, you choose which events appear, pick a grid, list, or carousel layout, turn on features like search, and select the event details to show. Then you copy one snippet of code to add it to any page.

How to Create a Calendar Widget for Your Website

  1. Log in to your Seeker dashboard
  2. Click ‘Events’ in the left sidebar
  3. Click ‘Embed’ from the submenu
  4. Click ‘Add filter’ to narrow down which events appear
  5. Choose a filter type, such as ‘Category’, then select the categories to include
  6. Open the layout dropdown and choose ‘Grid’, ‘List’, or ‘Carousel’
  7. Click ‘Features’ and check ‘Include search bar’ to let visitors search your events. You can also include the submission form and category, region, and date filters.
  8. Click ‘Fields’ to choose which event details appear
  9. Optional: click ‘Custom CSS’ to style the widget (see Styling Your Calendar Widget with Custom CSS)
  10. Click ‘Copy code’
  11. Paste the code into your website wherever you want the calendar to appear
