Most Beautiful Beaches in Koh Lanta!

Reina Cartagena

After spending a month and a half on this little island I can say I saw many beaches and so many beautiful sunsets! I had the time of my life here, waking up, going down the street, stepping onto the beach, and then getting a mango smoothie! What a life! If you’re looking for a Thai island with a chill vibe, wonderful beaches, and great Thai food, you won’t regret going to Koh Lanta.

Kantiang Bay is the best place to base yourself if you want to dive some of the top dive sites in Thailand. With spectacular reefs, unmatched marine diversity, and great visibility, Kantiang Bay offers the convenience of shorter journey times so you get more chance to enjoy the relaxed and laid back atmosphere of island life. The beach there is very pretty, but unfortunately, there are quite a few rocks in the water, so you’ll have to be careful where you step.

  • Nui Beach, Thailand

Nui Beach is a tiny but stunning bay and is a real hidden gem of Koh Lanta. Because of its superb location, no resorts are built on this beach. The beach is accessible either by walking through the trees or by going through Nui Beach Bar and walking down the man-made steps. Many times when visiting the beach you will only find a couple of people, normally though you can have it all to yourself. The beach is amazing, all soft sand and usually crystal clear water. You can only swim in certain parts of the sea due to it being quite rocky. I definitely recommend it.

The beach here is also relatively expanded and you’ll find lots of nice beach bars and restaurants. The abundance of beach bars makes it one of the island’s top places for partying too, though the parties are more likely to be chill than wild all-nighters. A nice place to unwind and take it easy, swimming is only recommended at high tide due to the rocks.

As the name refers to it, it was quite beautiful surrounded by palm trees everywhere. This is quite a secluded beach so don't expect restaurants and hotels here. It's small and there's a little stand you can get some drinks only. Just keep in mind that. But otherwise is really nice, you can easily layout under palm trees and enjoy the sea breeze in your face.

In the month I spend in Thailand this was the beach I had closer to my apartment. There are many amazing resorts and restaurants nearby, it was never crowded and the water was so clean. The beach is around 3 km long, so it’s great for leisurely seaside strolls. There are also many great beach bars and restaurants here where you can enjoy life at the beach from the comfort of a hammock.
