What is Olympic National Park’s Enchanted Valley?

[place id="25034" slug="3xvEM2g9m/enchanted-valley-washington-washington-us" label="Enchanted Valley"] is a lush valley in the southwestern part of Olympic National Park that has a campground with two privies and, 13.5 miles from the trailhead, the Enchanted Valley Chalet, a now-boarded-up log cabin built originally as a remote lodge for hikers in 1931. It takes two to three days to hike out and back through a moderate-intensity trail that follows the Quinault River and goes through temperate rainforest valleys. There is little or no cellphone service on this remote trail and bear canisters are required.
