How many entrances are there in Yosemite National Park? Which one should I use?

There are 4 main entrances to Yosemite National Park.

The [place id="25237" slug="rnwYGze2X/arch-rock-entrance-california-us" label="Arch Rock Entrance"] is located on Highway 140 just south of the Big Oak Flat Entrance on the west side of the park. It's another option for those arriving from the Bay Area or a bit south of there.

If you're arriving from Southern California or the city of [place id="13666" slug="zHi9WHBB4/fresno-california-us" label="Fresno"], the [place id="25238" slug="p-8VpCFLI/south-entrance-fish-camp-california-us" label="South Entrance"] of Yosemite along Highway 41 is the best option.

If coming from the east side of the park the [place id="25239" slug="jSj79P3tP/tioga-pass-entrance-entrance-california-us" label="Tioga Pass Entrance"] is the only entrance located on that side of the park. It is located on Tioga Road, part of Highway 120. This road and entrance close during the winter when it starts to snow. It closes sometime in October or November and reopens sometime between the end of May and the beginning of July depending on snow conditions.

Lastly, Yosemite has a fifth entrance to a separate section of the park.
