  This looks like a really nice beach not far from Williamsburg. The have grills available as well, so you can have a nice picnic. Reviews say it's recommended for families.

  Colonial Williamsburg is a town recreating 18th century life. I remember my parents dragged me here when I was a teenager and I hated it, but my kids might be at a good age to think it's cool!

  We are going to try this amusement park for the first time. Our kids are 5 and 8, and our 5-year old gets in for free. You can typically find a deal on admission through Groupon or Certifikid.

  We will be staying at an Airbnb in this building. The community has a heated pool and hot tub, playground, activities room and more. The unit is a 1-bedroom with a pullout couch in the living room and looks really nice!

  This is our friends go-to place, and they stay here about 3 times per year. If it's not a holiday weekend, the rates are very affordable and the resort has a pool and activities for kids.

  At just 2 hours from DC, Williamsburg is an easy getaway that has a lot of fun family activities. There's Busch Gardens, the beach, and the historic town itself, plus all the accommodations offer tons of great amenities.
