Best New Years Eve Celebrations in Europe

With the new year approaching, I find myself planning more and more trips. This list is hopefully going to narrow down my choices for vacations in Europe to celebrate New Years Eve next year!

  • Brussels

      Belgium has such a rich history it would be a great place for a New Years adventure. Exploring museums and tasting chocolate by day, and ringing in the new year with parties and fireworks around the city!

  • Paris in Île-de-France, France

      Paris is beautiful all year, but watching fireworks over the Eiffel Tower would be gorgeous!

  • Amsterdam

      With New Years parties ranging from fancy balls to all night raves, Amsterdam would certainly be an exciting place to celebrate the new year! Explore the beautiful canals by day and check out the mini winter festival. Make sure you find some oliebollen (fried dough balls) and champagne to ward off evil spirits heading into the new year!

      Bonfires line the streets in Reykjavik on New Years Eve! Although there are no official fireworks displays here, you'll find locals shooting off their own around the city and if you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights!

The coolest thing about New Years Eve in Edinburgh is the Hogmanay celebration that actually starts on December 30th with the torchlight parade through the city! Talk about extending the holiday celebration!

      Berlin is a great city to party in all year, but especially on New Years Eve! All around Brandenburg Gate different stages and huts are set up for concerts and street food.
