  I included this small shop at the top of the GYRE department store because the MOMA store in Tokyo is one of the most fun places to visit in Harajuku. This shop has a design collection from the world-famous MOMA art museum based in New York City, as well as Tokyo exclusive products. Come to this shop to expand your mind and discover new artists and design concepts.

  If you are in Japan for any amount of time you have probably heard of Line. The popular app is used as the main form of communication amongst people in Japan, and of course, the app is equipped with an expansive ticker collection featuring the Line characters. Line itself has shops all over the world, even in Times Square in NYC. Stop by and learn about the characters, each with their own distinctive personality.

  The shop concept of 6%Doki Doki is "Exceedingly Kawaii" and this is the place to see in Harajuku for anyone interested in Tokyo Fashion. Harajuku was always famous as a place to see unusual and fashion-forward designs and concepts, creating various subcultures that ran in fashion magazines on a global level. While much of the fashion in Harajuku has calmed down to streetwear, 6%Doki Doki, founded in 1995 still carries the heart of early 2000s Harajuku Fashion.

  LaForet is a department store and museum complex located in Harajuku. LaForet is famous for its trendy boutiques equipped with all manner of Japanese subculture fashion. There are lolita fashion boutiques, Korean makeup, streetwear, and even luxury foreign makeup and fashion such as MAC. LaForet is the center of any fashionable Tokyo-ite's shopping stops in Harajuku. There is also an entire floor for delicious treats, including chocolate pizza and artisanal onigiri.
