Guide to Submitting Event Sources

Seeker Events Network | All Plans
This article covers how to submit new event sources to Seeker for crawling and inclusion in your Discover Feed.

Event sources are the websites, Facebook pages, ticketing platforms, and other online locations where your community posts events. Submitting sources tells Seeker where to look when building your Discover Feed. Seeker’s team reviews and sets up each source before it starts feeding events into your dashboard.

How to Submit Event Sources

  1. Log in at Seeker
  2. Click ‘Events Network’ in the left sidebar
  3. Click ‘Sources’ from the submenu
  4. Click ‘Submit a Source’
  5. Enter the URL of the source you want to add (website, Facebook page, Eventbrite organizer page, etc.)
  6. Add any notes about the source to help Seeker’s team understand what it covers
  7. Click ‘Submit’

Seeker’s team will review your submission and notify you once the source is live and feeding events into your Discover Feed.

What Makes a Good Source

Seeker can crawl most public-facing event pages. Good sources include:

  • Venue websites with an events calendar page
  • Facebook pages that regularly post public events
  • Ticketing platform organizer pages (Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, etc.)
  • Local organization websites that maintain a current events list
  • Community calendars from local media or government sites

Sources that work less well include private event pages, pages requiring login, or sites that don’t publish structured event information.
