Duplicating an Event
Seeker Events Network | All Plans
This article explains how to duplicate an existing event in your Seeker Events Network calendar.
Duplicating an event creates an exact copy with all the original details intact. It is useful for recurring events with minor date changes, events at the same venue on a different date, or any situation where building from scratch would mean re-entering the same information.
How to Duplicate an Event
- Log in at Seeker
- Click ‘Events’ in the left sidebar
- Click ‘Manage’ from the submenu
- Find the event you want to copy and click the ‘⋯’ menu on the event card
- Click ‘Duplicate’ from the dropdown
- The copy appears in your event list with ‘copy’ added to the title. Edit it as a separate event from there.
What Gets Copied
The duplicate includes all details from the original: title (with ‘copy’ appended), date, time, location, description, cover image, categories, and ticketing links. Everything is editable after duplication. The copy is saved to your Manage Events list and not published automatically.
FAQs
No. Duplication is only available for events already in your Manage Events list. Import the event first, then duplicate it from there.
The duplicate inherits the same status as the original. If the original is published, the copy will be published immediately. If it is unpublished, the copy will be saved as unpublished.
For recurring events, use the ‘Occurrences’ feature when editing an event rather than duplicating it. Occurrences links multiple dates together as a single event record, which keeps your calendar cleaner and your active event count accurate.
