Wellness Trinidad Is Turning a Mountain Town into a Three-Day Wellness Festival
Wellness Trinidad is on a mission to make Trinidad, Colorado a recognized destination for holistic health. For the inaugural Trinidad Wellness Festival, they built a city-wide Seeker XP digital passport to pull visitors and locals alike across downtown shops, wellness practitioners, restaurants, and outdoor experiences.
Overview
The Trinidad Wellness Festival runs May 29–31, 2026 across Trinidad, Colorado, a small mountain city in the Purgatoire River Valley at the foot of Fishers Peak. The festival is free and open to the public, spanning a central Practitioner Hub on Main Street, a 5K along the Purgatoire Riverwalk, archery clinics, a Friday night fire ceremony, and a city-wide open house of participating businesses and restaurants.
Seeker XP’s digital passport connects every piece of it. Participants scan QR codes at local shops, restaurants, and festival stops to check in, earn points across four wellness categories, and compete on a daily leaderboard for prize baskets.

About Wellness Trinidad
Wellness Trinidad is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded by Kiffin Potts-Brown, a marketing professional, Reiki Master, and owner of Curly’s Beads and Gift Shop in downtown Trinidad. The organization’s mission is to foster a culture of holistic health in Trinidad and the broader Purgatoire River Valley, showcasing the town’s unique wellness assets: its mountain setting, tight-knit community, and growing network of practitioners and local businesses.
The Trinidad Wellness Festival is the organization’s flagship activation. Supported by board members Dr. Ivory Raye (Raye Naturopathic) and Lou Ann Peters, the festival brings together holistic vendors, wellness practitioners, local restaurants, downtown shops, and outdoor experiences across the full city for a free, public, three-day event.
How It Works
Wellness Trinidad built a digital passport using Seeker XP to give festival-goers a structured way to explore the city across all three days. The passport is entirely web-based: participants scan a QR code at any participating location using their phone’s camera, which opens the experience instantly in their mobile browser. No account setup, no app store visit.
Check-ins are organized around four wellness dimensions. Participants earn 100 points each time they check in at a location tagged to Financial Wellness, Mental Health, Physical Wellness, or general Wellness. Points accumulate across the day, and the top three earners on each day’s leaderboard win a curated prize basket.
The passport spans the full festival footprint: downtown shops and restaurants, the Practitioner Hub at Space to Create on Main Street, and outdoor and activity stops across Trinidad. The festival trolley connects participants to locations across the city, and the passport gives every stop a reason to be visited.
Participating businesses include Hot Yoga on Main, Sita’s Kitchen, Curly’s Beads and Gift Shop, Trinidad Tea Company, Perkatory Coffee House, Canyon Side Snacks, Fishers Peak Outfitters, Natural Food Store, Main Street LIVE, Trinidad History Museum, Trinidad Lounge, Snap Fitness, and Colorado Land Properties, among others.

Why We Love It
-
A City-Wide Passport, Not Just a Festival Stamp
The activation spans downtown shops, restaurants, practitioners, and outdoor stops, giving every participating business a reason to be on the route.
-
No App Download Friction
The entire experience runs in a mobile browser. Participants scan, check in, and earn without a single trip to the app store.
-
Daily Resets Keep It Competitive Across All Three Days
Fresh leaderboards on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mean participation doesn’t peak on day one and drop off. There’s always a reason to keep going.
-
The Passport Does Double Duty for the Destination
Wellness Trinidad isn’t just running a festival. They’re building the case that Trinidad is a wellness destination worth returning to. The passport puts local businesses, practitioners, and outdoor experiences on the same map and gives every visitor a reason to wander further than they planned.
