Grange Built a Home Tour That Buyers Actually Wanted to Finish
Discover Grange, a 1,130-acre master-planned community in Katy, Texas by Johnson Development, launched a digital passport to turn its nine-builder model home park into an interactive, room-by-room discovery experience using Seeker XP. Prospective homebuyers scanned QR codes at each model home to unlock a glimpse of daily life in Grange, collecting badges as they moved from home to home to the community park.
Overview
The Discover Grange Home Tour ran March 1–15, 2026, across nine model homes in Grange’s Katy park. Visitors explored homes from ten builders, scanning QR codes at each to collect badges through a virtual passport. Every scan revealed an immersive peek at a specific living space: a morning kitchen, a flex room, an evening patio, a primary suite. At the close of the 15-day campaign, one participant won a $2,500 gift certificate to Living Spaces in Katy.
The passport ran entirely in the browser. Visitors collected five badges in total, from First Steps (first model home visited) through to the Discover Grange Finisher, earned by completing all eleven locations across the park. The tiered progression gave every visit a clear goal and a reason to keep going.

The model home park at Grange is one of the most competitive in west Katy, with homes ranging from the high $300s to over $600,000 across 40-foot to 60-foot homesites. Getting buyers through the door wasn’t the challenge. Johnson Development wanted to give them a reason to go deeper into every home, room by room, and really picture their lives there.
Grange used Seeker XP to bring that idea to life. Rather than asking buyers to show up and browse, the platform gave every visit a structure: a mission that ran through all nine homes, a badge for every space explored, and a reason to stay until the last door was opened.
How it Worked
The Discover Grange Home Tour ran March 1 through 15, 2026, at the Grange model home park on Dove Meadow Lane in Katy. Visitors joined by scanning any QR code placed inside one of the nine model homes, launching the virtual passport directly in their browser.
Each QR code unlocked a digital window into a specific living space: the warm glow of a morning kitchen, the flexibility of an afternoon flex room, the easy rhythm of an evening on the patio, the calm close of a primary suite. Each scan earned a badge and logged an entry into a $2,500 gift certificate giveaway to a local home furnishing store. With 15 days to explore, participants could move through the model park at their own pace and build out their full badge collection.
The experience covered nine model homes from ten builders, with additional check-in points at the information center and community amenity areas. Every builder in the park participated, giving prospective buyers a complete picture of the range of homes and lifestyles available at Grange.
