Seeker Worldwide, Inc.
Last Updated: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Seeker Worldwide, Inc. and its related companies (“Seeker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, and share personal information. It applies to our website at seeker.io and any other website that posts this Policy (the “Site”), and to the products and services we provide, including Seeker Events Network event calendars and widgets, Seeker XP digital passports and check-in programs, the AI Trip Planner, the Seeker Events API, and related mobile web experiences (together with the Site, the “Services”). This Policy does not apply to websites or services that post a different privacy statement.
1. Our Role: Seeker and Our Customers
Seeker provides its Services to businesses and organizations such as destination marketing organizations, convention and visitors bureaus, chambers of commerce, downtown associations, publishers, and brands (“Customers”). Customers use our Services to run event calendars, passport programs, and other experiences for their own audiences.
When you use a Service that a Customer offers to you (for example, a Customer’s event calendar or a Customer-branded passport), Seeker generally processes your personal information on behalf of that Customer, as its service provider or processor. In those cases, the Customer’s own privacy policy governs how your information is used, and the Customer decides what happens to it. If you have questions or want to exercise privacy rights about a Customer program, please contact that Customer directly. We will help the Customer respond to your request.
Seeker acts as the business responsible for your information (a “controller”) when you visit seeker.io, contact us, sign up for our newsletters or webinars, create an account to manage the Services on behalf of a Customer, or otherwise interact with Seeker directly.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Give Us
- Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, username, password, organization name, and job title.
- Program participation information, such as passport sign-ups, check-ins, points, badges, prize or reward redemptions, survey responses, and, if you win a prize, the shipping or fulfillment details needed to deliver it.
- Event submission information, such as event details, images, venue information, and organizer contact information you submit to an event calendar.
- AI Trip Planner inputs, such as your interests, travel dates, and the questions or requests you enter.
- Communications, such as messages you send us, support requests, and webinar or demo registrations.
- Payment information from Customers who purchase our Services. Payment card details are processed by our third-party payment processors and are not stored by Seeker.
Location Information
Some Services, such as Seeker XP check-ins, may ask to use your device’s precise location to confirm that you have visited a participating location. We only collect precise location with your permission through your browser or device settings, and only for the purpose of verifying check-ins and delivering location-based features. You can turn off location access at any time in your device or browser settings, although some check-in features may not work without it. We may also infer approximate location (such as city or region) from your IP address.
Information Automatically Collected
When you use the Services, we automatically log information about you and your device, such as your IP address, device and operating system type, browser type and language, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, access times, and actions you take within the Services.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. These may include session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them). Categories of cookies we use include strictly necessary, functional, analytics, and marketing cookies.
Information We Get From Others
We may receive information about you from Customers (for example, when a Customer imports event listings or participant lists), from event data sources and partners, from business contact and marketing data providers, and from publicly available sources. We may combine this with information we collect directly.
3. How We Use Personal Information
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services, including running event calendars, passports, check-ins, and rewards.
- To provide the Services to Customers and follow their instructions.
- To create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
- To send confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
- To send marketing communications about Seeker, where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time.
- To personalize content, such as event recommendations and AI Trip Planner itineraries.
- To analyze usage, develop new features, and create aggregated or de-identified insights.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse (such as fraudulent check-ins), security issues, and technical problems.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Artificial Intelligence Features
Some features, such as the AI Trip Planner and AI-powered event categorization, use third-party artificial intelligence service providers to process the information you enter or the content submitted to the Services. These providers process that information on our behalf to generate results. We do not permit these providers to use your personal information to train their general-purpose AI models. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, so please verify important details such as event dates, times, and locations.
5. How We Share Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. We may share personal information as follows:
- With Customers. When you participate in a program or use a Service provided by a Customer, we share the information collected through that program with that Customer. The Customer’s use of that information is governed by its own privacy policy. For example, if you opt in to receive communications from the organization running a passport program, we provide your contact information to that organization.
- With service providers who perform work for us, such as hosting, data storage, analytics, email and SMS delivery, customer relationship management, payment processing, AI services, and customer support. They may use personal information only as needed to provide services to us.
- With your consent or at your direction.
- For business transfers, such as when we do or negotiate a business deal involving the sale or transfer of all or part of our business or assets, including any merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding.
- For legal, protection, and safety purposes, including to comply with laws; to respond to lawful requests and legal process; to protect the rights and property of Seeker, our agents, Customers, and others, including enforcing our agreements, policies, and terms of use; and in an emergency to protect the safety of our employees, agents, Customers, or any person.
- Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified data except as permitted by law.
6. Text Messages
If a Service offers text message (SMS) notifications and you choose to receive them, message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
7. Your Choices
- Marketing emails. Our marketing emails tell you how to opt out. If you opt out, we may still send you non-marketing emails, such as messages about your account or our business dealings with you.
- Location. You can disable location access in your device or browser settings.
- Cookies. You can usually remove or reject cookies through your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the Services may not work properly.
- Opt-out preference signals. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where required by law.
- Account information. You can update your contact choices and personal information by contacting us at the email address below.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and access a copy of it;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information, such as precise location; and
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
California residents: In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2, including identifiers, commercial information (such as program participation and rewards), internet or other electronic network activity information, geolocation data, and professional information. We collect this information for the purposes described in Section 3 and disclose it to the categories of recipients described in Section 5. We use precise location only as needed to provide the features you request.
To make a request, email us at heyseeker@seeker.io. We will need to verify your identity before responding, which may require you to confirm information associated with your account or email address. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority. If your request concerns a program run by one of our Customers, we may refer you to that Customer or forward your request to them. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
9. Deleting Your Information
If you no longer wish to use the Services, you can request deletion of your personal information by emailing heyseeker@seeker.io. We will verify your request and process it within 30 days, unless we need to keep certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, meet our contractual obligations to Customers, and comply with legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
