Switzerland's Winter Wonderland Buket List
Louliana Voelker
I have always wanted to go to the Swiss Alps during the winter season. Here are a few things I will not miss to do if I ever get there.
Lake Geneva, Lucerne, Zermatt, Christmasmarket, Maison Cailler, Saint Moritz
Lake Geneva
Lucerne in Lucerne, Switzerland

Lucerne looks like a beautiful city. I would spend my entire stay here just walking around and admiring its beauty. It is also on a lake which makes it even more magical.

Zermatt, Switzerland

I have always wanted to visit Zermatt, especially in the winter when the town is covered in snow and looks stunning at night with all the yellow lights. I also want to explore the famous Matterhorn peak because how could you go to Switzerland and not visit the Matterhorn peak?

Christmasmarket, Switzerland

One of the many Christmas markets in Switzerland is the one in Baslen. It is in the German speaking part of Switzerland which makes the adventure even more fun. Christmas markets are the best in the winter because the food smells delicious, and the gifts they sell are usually hand made and culturally meaningful.

Maison Cailler in Fribourg, Switzerland

Maison Cailler is a Swiss chocolate factory. Swiss chocolate has to be one of my all time favorite chocolates. I have visited chocolate factories before and they are great. you get to see the process behind making the chocolate and get to taste all their goods at the end.

Saint Moritz, Switzerland

I heard St.Moritz is a great destination for skiers. The town also seems very beautiful covered in snow. I think this would be my first destination because it is a classic.

Lake Geneva is another classic that you must visit if you go to Switzerland. I heard it is especially worth going during Winterfest because there are many people that come from all over and it is a fun time full of activities.
