United States Maine Maine
Seguin Island Light Station
An active 19th-century lighthouse featuring one of the few remaining first-order Fresnel lenses, guiding mariners at the mouth of a river.
Tips from the community
Built in 1795, Seguin Island Light is a historic landmark and one of the only lighthouses in Maine that has a first order fresnel lens. The first order fresnel lens is the most powerful lens, giving this lighthouse a throw of almost 20 miles out to sea! Boat tours are available to reach this Maine lighthouse.

mustangdmv (Danielle Call) Historic buildings that would guide sailors to the coast from around the world, these are some of Maine's most picturesque lighthouses. From Portland Head Light all the way up to West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec, you could take a week long road trip to try to see them all!
