Dyce Head Lighthouse

A historic beacon built in 1828, guiding mariners with a flashing white light at the entrance of Penobscot River.

Tips from the community

Dyce Head Lighthouse is a little more difficult to get to as it technically sits on private property. As long as you are respectful of the neighbors, you can generally follow the path out behind the garage and out to the shoreline.

Historic buildings that would guide sailors to the coast from around the world, these are some of Maine's most picturesque lighthouses. From Portland Head Light all the way up to West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec, you could take a week long road trip to try to see them all!
