The Lincoln Memorial, one of the most iconic landmarks in Washington D.C., is a majestic monument built in the neoclassical style to honor the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Located at the west end of the National Mall, the memorial features a colossal statue of Lincoln, towering 19 feet tall and surrounded by 36 columns representing the 36 states at the time of his death. Visitors can marvel at the impressive statue, read the famous speeches inscribed on the walls, and take in the breathtaking views of the city from its steps.

The Lincoln Memorial is an iconic symbol of American history and a tribute to one of our greatest leaders. Kids will be in awe of the massive statue of Abraham Lincoln and the inspiring words of his speeches etched into the walls. It's best to visit early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid crowds and see the memorial in a more peaceful setting.
