Ximending is sleepy by day, but its neon-lit shops and restaurants are packed at night and on weekends with teens and hipsters. Pop-up food vendors, roving street performers, and Taiwanese dressed to impress make this an excellent place to witness Taiwan’s subculture and creativity.
