Bear Den Mountain Trail Head

A trailhead leading to forested paths with scenic vistas, providing hikers an ascent to a bear-named peak through terrain embodying tranquility.

Tips from the community

Bear Den is another popular trail in the Lake Placid area. It's a bit shorter at 3 and a half miles total, but it is a great option for any season. If you visit in the winter be sure to have snow shoes or spikes in case of ice and heavy snow. Once you reach the top take a break and watch the skiers and snowboarders over at Whiteface Mountain.
