Where To Celebrate Pride In NYC

With so much on hold for the past two years, you can be sure NYC is back and better than ever- ready to celebrate Pride in every way possible! From the iconic annual march through Manhattan to plenty of unique pop-up events throughout the city- these are some of the exciting festivities coming up on the Pride calendar. Enjoy delicious food from Black LGBTQIA+ chefs at a Pride brunch, watch the screening of an up-and-coming LGBTQIA+ film, witness rainbow flags sail alongside the island of Manhattan, or dance the night away at a Pride music festival. It's about to be a crazy month!

      Manhattan Pride is one of the most anticipated celebrations of LGBTQ+ of the season. Taking place on June 26th at noon from 25th Street and 5th Avenue, NYC continues its tradition from way back in 1970- honoring the fight against aids and remembering those who have been lost to illness, violence, and regret. Pride in NYC is a powerful experience, with heavy importance and lots of cheer in every corner, reflecting the impactful journey of LGBTQ+ in the United States. Memorial services, fantastical floats, music, dancing, and more- see New York like you never have before.

      Rainbows on the Hudson will take place at the Hudson River on June 25th, thanks to the Knickerbocker Sailing Association. This event's purpose is to raise awareness, promote inclusivity, and add a dash of color the the Hudson. Witness a parade of rainbow flags sailing down the iconic NYC river, have a picnic, hang out with friends and be sure to snap a picture.

      Grab some popcorn and some candy and head to Spring Studios for a chance to enjoy an LGBTQIA+ cinematic experience. NYC Pride, partnering up with Tribeca is hosting "Pride Presents" on June 17th. This year's feature film is titled Disclosure and will be making its debut on the East Coast as a part of Pride Presents.

This Pride-themed brunch was created to celebrate Black LGBTQIA+ leaders in the community, Juneteenth, and acknowledge the incredible progress made. This culinary experience includes a four-hour open bar, countless food stories, and delicious bites from several Black LGBTQIA+ chefs.
