Walt Disney World® Resort

Folks have long shared stories of encounters with a ghost named George, who purportedly died while working on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at the Magic Kingdom. Disney cast members have shared stories of George reportedly stopping the ride, making phone calls, and even showing up on security footage. Workers say good night to George or risk ride interruptions the next day.

This massive sundae gives the term “Everything but the kitchen sink” a whole new meaning. It’s made with eight scoops of ice cream in various flavors and topped with cookies, cherries, sprinkles, whipped cream, and every other topping they have behind the counter. Oh, and it’s served in an actual silver kitchen sink. It’s made to serve four, but we won’t judge. Find it at Beaches & Cream in Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

My mother always tells us the story about her first real crush, whom she met at 13 while visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. They even spent a whole night coaster hopping. I guess it runs in the family since I also had my first travel crush in the “Most Magical Place on Earth”.

If you've only been to one US Disney park or the other, it's definitely worth visiting both. Even the rides that are the same are somewhat different.

When: November 6 – December 30, 2020 Where: Orlando, Florida While this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the Candlelight Processional are cancelled for health and safety reasons, each of Disney World’s four theme parks has holiday treats, decorations, and even a chance to see Santa (from a safe distance, of course).
