United States California Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree

A small community known for its nearby national park with iconic twisted trees and rugged rock formations, popular among climbers and hikers.

Tips from the community

Camp out and chill out in the Joshua Tree Lake Campground: home to the bi-annual Joshua Tree Festival, on the edge of Joshua Tree National Park, and held every October since 2003. The fall family-friendly, camp-out music festival October 6-9, 2022 includes music, yoga, and art. Live music from artists who are not (yet) famous alternate continuously on two stages and concert-goers can enjoy organic food, a world market, and camping.

The town of Joshua Tree, located just a few miles outside of the park’s west entrance, is a quaint town filled with shops, lodging, restaurants, and cafes. It’s a great spot to chill out and explore for a day or evening with its unique culture and appearance.
