Phoenix Islands, Kiribati is a remote and pristine atoll located in the central Pacific Ocean, consisting of eight coral islands and two submerged reefs. The island boasts some of the richest marine biodiversity in the world with 120 species of coral and over 500 species of fish. The Phoenix Islands were declared a World Heritage Site in 2010 for their outstanding natural beauty and ecological importance.
