Australia

A vast country-continent surrounded by the Indian and Pacific Oceans, noted for its unique wildlife, Outback terrain, and iconic Sydney Opera House.

Tips from the community

Australia may not be the first place that comes to mind when it comes to weed-friendly destinations, but the country has plenty to offer for those who enjoy cannabis. Visitors can explore the vibrant city of Melbourne, sample some of the best strains in Sydney, or take a scenic tour of the breathtaking Blue Mountains while enjoying their favorite herb. With the recent legalization of cannabis in several states, it's the perfect time to plan a trip to Australia for some laid-back, cannabis-friendly adventures.

While medicinal use is legal across Australia, personal use has only been decriminalized in a few states. Australia’s Northern Territory, South Australia, and the Australian Capital Territory all make the list, and in 2016, the first cannabis clubs began opening up to make distribution easier.
