The two mile trek to the inner shrine of the Shinto Fox spirits is lined with bright red gates or "toriis" that are engraved with the names of people who donated them. I've been told that this is a beautiful place to visit, but it is best to arrive early because it gets very crowded. The bright red gates leading up to a beautiful forest shrine make a colorful destination indeed!
