Tips from the community
When it comes to House of Wax, your only path to several delicious craft beers is to first pass several eerie wax heads and figures. The bar is meant to be an ode to the touring attractions of the 1800s and it definitely pulls off the theme. For more fun, book a scary movie viewing at the Alamo Drafthouse, an eat-in theater with delicious food and drinks which is based in the same building.

This spot is known for it’s creative cocktails and craft beer menu - as well as being part bar/part wax museum. In fact, the entire theme of the bar is based on the “panoptica touring attractions of the late 1800’s” - think the early Barnum’s American Museum. It’s a bit eerie but so worth a visit.
