Appalachian Mountain Club Echo Lake Camp

AMC's Echo Lake Camp is located on the quiet side of Mt. Desert Island and provides amazing views of the mountains meeting the ocean. Unlike some of the other campgrounds on this list, Echo Lake Camp is all-inclusive lakefront campground with amenities like: volunteer-led hikes and nature walks, platform tents with cots and bedding, a full-service dining hall providing three meals a day, a rec hall, library, clean bathrooms, hot showers and baths, and recreation amenities like a basketball court, swim floats, boat docks, canoes, kayaks, and more.
