Ellora Caves is a series of 34 monasteries, temples, and cave dwellings built between the 6th and 10th centuries in Maharashtra. This site features a remarkable fusion of Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist religious art, architecture, and sculpture. Ellora Caves was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and receives thousands of visitors each year who come to marvel at its cultural and historical significance.
