Olympic National Park

How does some shuteye in the midst of a misty, old-growth rainforest right on the edge of the roaring Pacific Ocean sound? We thought so. Oh, be sure to pack the waterproofs, as it’s one of the moistest spots in America!

Explore all that the rugged Washington state coastline has to offer on the edge of this sprawling natural park. From rocky and adventurous cliffs dropping into the ocean to sandy and idyllic shores, Olympic National Park has a variety of beach experiences to satisfy any beach-goer’s tastes.

Wet but wonderful, Olympic National Park spans the vast Olympic Peninsula to the west of Seattle. With an average precipitation level of more than nine inches for three months of the year, it should be easy to see where the verdant, moss-caked rainforests get their fuel from. But take it to the westernmost extreme and you can also find stunning beaches and sea stacks shrouded in fog along the Pacific Ocean. Up high and the woods drop away for ski runs and snow-covered tundra.

Olympic National Park in Washington state is full of easy-hikes and stunning surroundings that are sure to keep visitors coming back for more. One of the most famous parks in the country, spend your days traversing through rainforest trails steeped in rich history and biodiversity. Along with the plentiful simple hiking trails and kid-friendly areas, Olympic National Park is ideal for an "icebreaking" park adventure experience, or a family weekend getaway.

Experience the true wonder of the natural landscape along the US's pacific northwest at Olympic National Park. The park expands amongst several different ecosystems and varying landscapes all pulled together by plantlife in rich shades of green.

If hiking and greenery is your thing than Olympic National Park would be prefect for you! There is so much to do, you could easily spend several days exploring.

Olympic National Park is so different from the other parks in Washington. In fact, the whole Olympic Peninsula is unique with the ocean along the coast, the rainforest at lower elevations, and the glaciated peaks at higher elevations. The variety of biomes creates a diverse environment and offers different experiences every season.

So many types of environments to explore—beach-side, mountain, rainforest. Camping, hiking

Most folks scratch their head a bit when they first hear there’s a rainforest in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. We can’t blame them; we were hardwired to think rainforests = toucans when we were kids too. Olympic National Park in Washington State is covered in thick moss and low-hanging mist, making it an incredibly unique pick.

Part of the iconic Pacific Northwest I have always wanted to explore this vast park that has so much to offer. Who doesn't love finding mountains and rain forests in the same place?!
