Hike the 3-mile Congress Trail loop, one of the best hikes in Sequoia National Park. This hike is great year-round; in the summer pack your sneakers and in the winter strap on your snowshoes. The trail is paved and awards hikers with site of many old-growth Giant Sequoias including General Sherman, the House of Senate groups, and the President Tree.

The Congress Trail is one of the best hikes in Sequoia National Park beginning at the General Sherman Tree. Walk amongst some of the largest trees in the park on this easy-to-moderate 3-mile loop trail. You'll see many mature Giant Sequoias including the President Tree and House of Senators Trees.
