United States Utah Brighton

Brighton Resort

A family-friendly mountain retreat known for its ski & snowboard terrain, offering night skiing & snowshoeing with a charming alpine vibe.

Tips from the community

Brighton Resort was the first ski resort to open in Utah, so it is well-loved in the Utah ski and snowboard community. This laid-back resort is excellent for beginner and intermediate skiers, including families, who want to enjoy some good old-fashioned ski time. The resort lacks many of the frills that other Utah ski resorts, but there's something so great about the simplicity of the area. Plus, Brighton skiers have a unique tradition of ending a day of skiing in the parking lot with warm drinks.

It's a commonly known fact that Utah has the "greatest snow on earth". (Don't believe me? Google Utah license plates for proof). And where there's the greatest snow on earth, there's the greatest skiing on earth. People from all over the world come to enjoy skiing in the Utah mountains that were home to the 2002 Winter Olympics. Utah's capital, Salt Lake City, is home to some of Utah's best ski resorts. Whether beginner or expert skier, family vacation or solo trip, the Wasatch mountains have a ski run for everyone. Here are the best ski resorts in SLC according to me, a Utah native.
