Hidden amongst Alaska's widely unexplored tundra, Denali National Park ranks first as the most dangerous in the state, and among the top most dangerous in the country. Exposure to the elements is the primary cause of death at this enormous park, with sudden changes in weather and lack of resources being creating fatal situations. Denali also attracts plenty of mountaineers to its rocky landscape, causing falls to be another major cause of death at the park.

Fall begins to settle between August and October at this Alaskan national park. The rich green plantlife transforms into deep auburn and cherry red. Enjoy crisp fall weather and endless views into the untouched wilderness, a reflection of autumn in all directions. As summer tourists numbers dwindle and shops close down for the season, the true exclusivity of the gorgeous park during the fall is ideal for romantic getaways and family vacations.

It’s so much more than simply skipping the light pollution up in Alaska’s Denali National Park. It’s about visions of the Northern Lights. The uppermost parts of the reserve close to Fairbanks are best for seeing the Aurora. Winter is prime.
