Places to love in Rock Hall, MD

Netanya Trimboli

This small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland is just 2 hours from DC, but feels a million miles away. It's a great escape surrounded by water and views, with fresh seafood at every turn. It's a sleepy town that's much less touristy than St. Michael's and you have to make your own fun, which isn't hard in the warmer months.

If you're looking for surf and turf in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere, this is your place. Although the plating could be straight out of the 1980s, the flavors and quality is there.

This is a really fun place to hike! Lots of wooden bridges over marshy areas, tons of birds, and beautiful water views. Even when it's cold, it's a fun place to walk around and explore. It's also the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the bay.

One of my bucket list items is to go on a hot air balloon ride! We were all set to go, but the weather wouldn't cooperate. With that said, I was really impressed by this place and hope to use them in the future.

Ferry Park is alongside a small, picture-perfect beach. There's plenty of sand to stretch out on, shallow water to play in, and sweeping views of the Bay Bridge. You'll be hard pressed to find more than a handful other people there.

This members-only harbor is a great benefit to boat owners, which in addition to boat slips, also offers a pool, free bike rentals, and a small playground for kids. Non-members can still take a beautiful stroll along the water and take in the views.

The best place for crabs in the area! An expansive outdoor seating area on the water has ample space for all you can eat crabs, while listening to live music. It's a fun place to hang out and get that quintessential Maryland experience.
