  • Bear Den Mountain Trail Head

    • mustangdmv Bear Den is another popular trail in the Lake Placid area. It's a bit shorter at 3 and a half miles total, but it is a great option for any season. If you visit in the winter be sure to have snow shoes or spikes in case of ice and heavy snow. Once you reach the top take a break and watch the skiers and snowboarders over at Whiteface Mountain.

    • mustangdmv Little Whiteface Mountain is a pretty popular out and back trail that starts at the Whiteface Base Lodge. It's a good distance, only about 4 and a half miles with great views of Lake Placid and the surrounding High Peaks at the top.
