The secrets of Larchmont, New York

Larchmont is my home town. I have lived there 12 years and have know all the best places to go and eat at. It is a very cute town that is mostly residential but has many things to do.

• Hommocks Park Ice Rink in Larchmont, United States

  This ice rink is huge and very well taken care of. During the winter season, they have Friday Night Skate every Friday night where they put music and lights on and everyone comes to skate. There are also hockey games from the Mamaroneck High School team that go on in the fall/winter. Those are very fun and defiantly something to experience. We are very proud of our Tiger Pride!

  Flint Park is the greatest park for anything and I personally think it is the best park in Larchmont for sports. They have tennis courts, a playground for children, many open fields, a baseball field, a turf, and a small nature walk.

• Durian in Larchmont, United States

  Durian has the best Thai food in Larchmont. Their Singapore noodles are especially delicious and the restaurant is in the center of town, right near the train station. It is a nice little building with a little garden area in front of it.

• Village Square Bagels in Larchmont, United States

  Personally, I think these are the best bagels in town. They are always fresh and simply delicious.

  Longford's has also been around for a while. It is always packed in the summer because they have the best ice cream. It is also situated in the more commercial part of town so there are a lot of cute shops up and down the street.

• Sunshine Coffee Roasters in Larchmont, United States

  The cutest coffee shop in the other part of Larchmont. The coffee here is great and it is a great place to get work done. The staff is always very friendly.

  Sherwood's is always packed. People love the meat here but honestly everything they serve is good. It has more of a tavern feel to it and it nice to dine in in the winter.

  The place with the best waffles in all of Larchmont. Like many stores in Larchmont, the owner is always at the counter, greeting their customers. The Belgian waffles with chocolate are the best but Lory (the owner), also has the best pound cakes and hot chocolate.

  Bradleys has been around for a very long time. The owner is often working there, saying good-morning to loyal customers of the neighborhood. The baked good are delicious, I personally love the blueberry pecan muffin. You can get very good bread here too.

  Chat 19 is a great restaurant that has live music on the weekends. The burgers are the best and they serve good American food. They also have a nice outdoor seating area that is large so there a good chance of getting a spot outside in the sun.

  Stanz's Cafe has the best brunch, breakfast, and lunch menu. From waffles and french toast to salads and sandwiches, everything here is amazing.

  The manor is a beautiful place to walk your dog or just to go for a walk. It is right by the ocean and you can see long island across the sound.

  The best popsicles with the most tropical flavors that you would only find in foreign countries. It is a family owned business that has been around for a while and is always busy on summer nights.
