March is the beginning of extended hours at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a place I visit at least a couple of times a year. And if you’re around in April, there’s no better time than than Sakura Matsuri - the BBG’s annual Cherry Blossom festival showcasing Japanese culture and several events. (Here’s hoping we get the festival back this year 🤞🏼)

Great for a spring stroll, or (as I’ve used it for in the past) my go-to lunch break spot, the High Line brings together New York of the past (it’s literally built onto a former raised railroad) and the beauty of springtime.

Personally, I think the NYBG is a year-round attraction - have you never seen the Holiday Train Show? But during the warmer months, this living museum becomes an absolute masterpiece to walk through.

  • Macy's in New York, United States

Macy’s Herald Square surprisingly didn’t make this list for the floral perfumes forced upon you on entry, but due to the Macy’s Flower Show, which takes place every May. Elaborate floral displays make up most of the main floor and are designed to fit an annual theme. Some past themes have included The Secret Garden, Carnival, and Journey to Paradisos.

  • Conservatory Garden in New York, United States

Central Park’s Conservatory Garden is popular for spring weddings, of course due to it’s annual floral displays and instagrammable fountain and pergola.

  • The Battery in New York, United States

Underrated when it comes to spring florals, but March brings the start of spring to Battery Park and in April, even Cherry Blossoms. It makes gazing out across the water at the Statue of Liberty even more tranquil.
